On Monday, Cisco Systems announced a strategic technology agreement with video and security systems company Pelco. The companies are jointly developing a new high-definition Internet Protocol security camera.

Cisco said the cobranded cameras will bring together Pelco's leadership in imaging with Cisco's IP networking experience to deliver the next generation of high-definition security cameras. The cameras will be built on Pelco's Sarix technology platform and sell via Cisco Authorized Technology Providers. The devices are expected to be available at the end of the year.

Adobe's Flash technology, omnipresent in virtually every computer and rapidly moving throughout mobile devices, is now rolling into digital home devices, including televisions and set-top boxes.
