clean technology
Well, it was bound to happen...another round of bad news, and suddenly I feel like I'm writing a series on the deflation of clean technology.
The ACCCE, a coalition of coal and energy companies that have been paying for a deluge of advertising discussing the merits of clean coal technology made a LOT of money last year. That was last year.
The good folks at the "We Can Solve It" campaign are pretty much the biggest influencers that clean technology has. They promote legislation and education that will help America overcome its energy (and yes, economic) crisis.
As an EcoGeek, I spend a lot more time thinking about science and technology than savings and loans. But there's no doubt, a strong economy would help the cleantech revolution get a foothold...and a weak economy will hurt it.
The senate has just passed what could end up being some of the most important legislation to the future of our country of the decade. No, I'm not talking about buying up $700 B of questionable mortgage assets...I'm talking about an actual, feasible, renewable energy package.
The package, which will cost around $17 B over ten years will stimulate growth in a number of clean tech sectors.
As we Ecogeeks ogle our ever-expanding supply of fancy gadgets and even fancier chargers it’s hard to imagine a life without these lux comforts. How could I run 3 miles without my Ipod to distract me? Do you really expect me to write a blog post

In general I'll take any excuse to go see a kid's movie. Aside from the fact that I'm currently at the stage in my life where I find six year-olds to be annoying, content created for them often seems to be extremely entertaining. Proving, once again, that since I'm a grown-up now...it's my turn to decide what that means.
